
Brittain completed her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Northeastern State University in 2001, followed by a master’s in counseling from ORU in 2005. She has worked as a counselor in Jenks Public Schools working with an age range from 10-18 years old. She works on developing social skills, divorce recovery, anger management, and helping students develop healthy coping skills with life stressors. She then joined a private practice where she treated ages 12 – adults with a specialty in marriage and family counseling, divorce recovery, anxiety, and depression. Brittain’s passion is to help families develop healthy communication skills and relationships and to assist individuals to reach the personal goals that they are working towards. Brittain has utilized the Prepare Enrich assessment for 16 years when working with engaged couples and married couples. This program assesses couples’ strengths and weaknesses and develops skills to start off their relationship with confidence and success and to break up destructive patterns that may be present in the relationship. Brittain also specializes and works with many dementia, Alzheimer’s, stroke, and Parkinson’s disease patients/families, she enjoys educating families in these diseases and their progressive nature along with developing skills on how to engage with their loved ones in meaningful ways, grieving and acceptance of these diagnoses and helpful strategies and support. Brittain was born and raised in Oklahoma where her and her husband just celebrated their 20th anniversary. They have 3 kiddos ages 15, 13 and 10. Brittain along with her husband and children live in the Tulsa metro area and enjoy camping, hiking, going to the lake, sports, and family time.
