Anthonia has over 25 years of extensive expertise in Nursing, spanning from internal medicine to psychiatry. She completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Southern Nazarene University, Bethany, Oklahoma, and Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Maryville University, St Louis, Missouri. She is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She focuses on leveraging on each individual’s unique challenges, needs and strengths in her therapeutic approach. She places an emphasis on combination of psychotherapeutic and pharmacotherapeutic approaches in caring for her patients with psychiatric mental health problems.
Her interest in Psychiatric Mental Health is not only in caring for the individuals with the problems, but in learning more about the underlying roots of the problem in order to possibly treat them effectively as well. She would like to create an opportunity to engage the patients and possibly their families in honest dialogue about mental health problem.
Her goal as a PMHNP is to advocate for her patients to be heard, respected and manage their individual treatment care with good understanding and compassion. She is an advocate for comprehensive and evidenced-based care in the area of psychiatric mental health.
