
Dr. Maria Plata originally from Eagle Pass, TX pursued undergraduate studies at Baylor University. She received her medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Following medical school, she completed her psychiatry residency training at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. With a natural passion, dedication, and commitment, Dr. Plata strives to alleviate mental health barriers that limit women from finding meaning in life. Through a detailed personal, family, social, and medical history she draws a complete story to address symptoms at their root cause and gain a comprehensive perspective of each patient. Dr. Plata is excited to help women achieve their healthcare goals and reconnect them with the best version of themselves. In her spare time, Dr. Plata enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling locally and abroad, and diverse fitness activities including running and Tabata training.
