Melissa earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and went on to complete her Master’s in Science of Professional Counseling at Mid-American Christian University. Melissa has had previous experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in school, home and office-based settings. She treats a variety of mental health needs including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and transitions. Additionally, Melissa enjoys serving the diverse group of her community through evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavior therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, client-centered therapy, behavior modification, and marital therapy. Melissa believes that her role in counseling is to guide others towards health and wellness through approaches described above as well as realizing their incredible worth and potential for change. Melissa is an LPC supervisor and enjoys helping other professionals grow and learn.

In her spare time, Melissa travels on camping adventures with her husband, Dustin, their son, and two bonus daughters. They love to meet with their extended family and church family for fun and fellowship. She also enjoys attending OU football games, shopping, trying new foods, watercolor, scrapbooking and other creative outlets.
