We Help You Build Intimacy

Women at any age can struggle with issues of sexuality, from basic concerns about intimacy to  sexual dysfunction. Many women have concerns regarding sexual health. In a 2009 survey, over 80% of women polled believed sexual health was an important part of overall health. Additionally, the majority of women wanted to speak with their health care professional about their sexual health and preferred that the health care professional bring up the topic.

Balance Women's Health recognizes addressing sexual health issues will help to improve the well-being of our patients. Our goal is to help women attain a full and satisfying sex life. We've created a warm, nurturing and welcoming atmosphere that instills a sense of trust allowing women to seek treatment, discuss sensitive topics openly and confidentially share their experiences.

Sexuality is a complex interplay of emotional and physical factors and most often, the problems our patient's experience stem from a combination of both. Balance providers aim to approach the problem on every level to determine the best treatment for you. Treatments may include medications, physical therapy, products and enhancers, and counseling.

There are many conditions that can impact a woman's sexual health. A Balance sexual health assessment includes conducting a thorough review of psychosocial and medical issues such as:

  • Medical conditions
  • Medications and their side effects
  • Sexual history
  • Trauma history
  • Hormonal imbalance
  • Menopausal changes
  • Relationship problems
  • Fear of intimacy
  • History of infidelity and vulnerability issues
  • Life stressors
  • Career and parenting stress
  • Anxiety and mood disorders

We know that the idea of a sexual assessment appointment may make you nervous. We are truly committed to making the process as comforting and pleasant as possible.
