What is Telemedicine?
How Does Telemedicine Work?
The video call is completely secure and confidential, and nothing is recorded or kept in any way.
When you schedule a telemedicine appointment, our patient coordinators will send you a private, secure link via e-mail, enabling you (and only you) to connect by video at the time of your appointment.
All you need is:
- Internet connection
- A computer, tablet, or smartphone
- A quiet, private room
Your healthcare provider or therapist will meet with you from her private office, ensuring you have a fully confidential environment, just as you would if you were meeting in person for your appointment.
Who Can Schedule a Telemedicine Appointment?
You are required to be seen in office for new patient appointments, 1st follow up that usually will include a lab review, and any appointment changing medications. If you are prescribed a controlled medication, we are required by law to see you in office every 90 days.
You must be in the state of Oklahoma at the time of your telemedicine appointment.
If you’re currently seeing a healthcare provider from our offices but suddenly face a life situation that prevents you from travel, telemedicine may be an option for you to continue meeting with your provider, even though you can’t make it to the office.
